OPCSUN FBT Fiber Optic Coupler 1x2 Channel

The FBT (Fused Fiber Splitter) optical coupler bundles two or more optical fibers, melts and stretches them, monitors the change in the optical split ratio in real time, and completes the optical fiber fusion until the required optical split ratio is reached.

One end of the optical fiber is reserved as the input terminal, and the other end of the optical fiber is used as the multi-channel output terminal, which can be packaged together in a mini steel pipe or ABS box.

FBT optical couplers only work at wavelengths of 850nm, 1310nm, and 1550nm due to their low material costs, simple manufacturing process, and relatively low cost, while PLC optical splitters work over a wider wavelength range from 1260nm to 1650nm and are more compact than FBT optical couplers, making them more suitable for high-density fiber optic cabling applications.
